The CIRC Healing Garden @ Contee AME
The Healing Garden is more than a space—it's a sanctuary of hope, community, and transformation. Rooted in the heart of Ward 7, this garden was cultivated by youth leaders, volunteers, and families as part of CIRC’s commitment to healing justice and environmental empowerment.
Unveiled during our August 2024 Community Day, the garden now stands as a living tribute to resilience and restoration. It is a space where young people learn to grow their own food, engage in environmental stewardship, and find peace through nature. Every bloom represents the power of community working together to sow seeds of change and healing.
EmpowerED by Resilience - Youth Leadership Academy
EmpowerED by Resilience: Youth Leadership Academy is a comprehensive 10-week program designed to empower at-risk youth ages 13-18 in Washington, DC. This innovative initiative focuses on fostering resilience, leadership skills, and personal development while promoting mental and physical wellness, entrepreneurship growth, and positive living.
Pathways to Empowerment Program
The Pathways to Empowerment program is designed to equip individuals facing barriers to employment with the tools, skills, and support needed to secure sustainable jobs and achieve economic independence. Through comprehensive job readiness training, hands-on skills development, and mentorship, participants gain practical experience in high-demand fields such as information technology, electrical trades, and construction. Our program also provides supportive services like mental health counseling, financial literacy training, and career guidance to help participants overcome personal and structural challenges.
